Turn workwear inside out to see how it is made

Pockets and an impression of durability often take the first look at workwear. The UNION × Dickies INVERSE images turn the clothes over, making white overlocked seams, panels, labels and pocket bags the main subjects.

Start with the complete looks: dark teal and khaki remain familiar jacket-and-trouser combinations, without exaggerated volume. From behind, white stitching travels across shoulders, backs and trouser pockets, exposing boundaries normally hidden inside. As the model lifts the garment, cuffs, necklines and interior labels become a route through the picture, clarifying the relationships between front and back panels, sleeves and pockets.

A second look.

The trouser details are particularly useful to keep. Close views of waistbands, back pockets and inside seams suggest that judging workwear can go beyond the exterior shape to whether its reversed construction is readable. One element is enough to borrow: contrasting stitching or a turned-up cuff can distinguish a basic workwear outfit. The lasting interest is that how a garment is made becomes something the eye can follow.
