The retro quality of these sportswear looks comes from more than the stripes along the trousers.

01三套深色运动装：袖子和裤侧都有条纹，衣面能看见绒光。Three dark tracksuit looks: stripes run down the sleeves and trouser sides, with a velvet-like sheen across the fabric.

NEEDLES 2026秋冬先把三套深色运动装放在一起：衣面有起伏的绒光，条纹沿着袖子和裤侧往下走。接着，黑色短夹克把横条放进领口、袖口与下摆，裤子换成了细格纹。再下一套，大格纹外衫里面叠着细格领口和小纹样开衫。

NEEDLES begins its Autumn/Winter 2026 sequence with three dark tracksuit looks. Their surfaces have a shifting velvet-like sheen, while stripes run down the sleeves and trouser sides. A black short jacket then moves horizontal stripes to the collar, cuffs and hem, paired with fine-checked trousers. In the next look, a large-check overshirt sits over a smaller checked collar and a cardigan with a small-scale pattern.

这些变化都很具体。动物纹可以缩在帽子上，和外套的密集图案一起出现；也可以铺满一件长外套。长绒感短外层配花纹裤，密集纹样长衣配多色内层，表面的信息越来越丰富。

The changes are specific. Animal print can be concentrated on a hat beside a densely patterned outer layer, or spread across an entire long coat. A shaggy short outer layer meets patterned trousers; a densely patterned long garment meets multicoloured inner layers. The surfaces carry progressively more information.

A second look.再看一套造型

这也是我看这一季的兴趣所在：运动细节和格纹、动物纹、绒感并没有分成几组互不相干的风格。把它们放在同一份档案里，才更容易看见NEEDLES运动装之外的样子。

That is what interests me about this season. Sportswear details, checks, animal prints and plush textures are not separated into unrelated styles. Seeing them in the same archive makes it easier to recognise the range of NEEDLES beyond its tracksuits.

03大格纹外衫里，还有细格领口与小纹样开衫；棕色裤子没有明显边条。Inside a large-check overshirt are a smaller checked collar and a small-pattern cardigan. The brown trousers have no obvious side stripe.

04豹纹帽和密集纹样外套一起出现，图案不只停在一件单品上。A leopard-print hat appears beside a densely patterned outer layer, allowing pattern to extend beyond a single garment.

05横向动物纹铺满长外套，暗色内层保留完整色块；源图不含脚部。Horizontal animal-print markings cover a long coat, while the dark inner layer remains a solid area. The source image does not include the feet.

06长绒感短外层配小纹样裤，光滑与蓬松的表面可以一起比较。A shaggy short outer layer with small-pattern trousers allows smooth and fluffy surfaces to be compared.

07深色短夹克的双肩蝴蝶图案，与中间花纹衣片接在一起。Butterfly motifs on both shoulders of the dark short jacket connect with the patterned panel in the centre.

08密集纹样长外套配多色内层，运动条纹已不再是唯一线索。A densely patterned long coat meets multicoloured inner layers. Sports stripes are no longer the only clue to the collection.

09观察卡：把运动细节与图案的位置分开记录，比只记“复古风”更具体。Observation card: record where sportswear details and patterns appear, rather than keeping only the broad label retro.
