Long skirts and chunky shoes: start at the hem

长裙配厚底鞋，不必每套都露出脚踝。先看看裙摆和靴筒接在什么位置。

A long skirt with chunky shoes does not have to show the ankle every time. Start by looking at where the skirt hem meets the boot shaft.

01黑裙下摆略向外散开，露出靴筒上方一小段腿，不是露脚踝。The black hem flares slightly outward, exposing a short section of leg above the boot shaft rather than the ankle.

Y's 2026秋冬这套黑裙，裙摆略向外散开，靴筒上方留了一小段腿。露的是靴筒上方的腿，不等于露脚踝。下一套黑裙直直垂下，遮住靴筒上缘，鞋头仍然看得见；它没有照着上一套的长度来穿。

In this black-skirt look from Y’s Autumn/Winter 2026, the hem flares gently outward and leaves a short section of leg above the boots. That is leg above the boot shaft, not necessarily an exposed ankle. In the next look, a black skirt falls straight down over the top of the boots, with the toes still visible. It does not follow the same length as the previous outfit.

再看格纹裙：灰色格裙把靴筒露出来，红色褶裙在下摆展开。另一件带图案的长裙则盖过靴筒上端，只让鞋头从下面伸出来。裙摆是直落还是散开，和露多少鞋一样值得看。

The checked skirts offer more comparisons. A grey checked skirt exposes the boot shafts, while a red pleated skirt opens out at its hem. Another patterned long skirt covers the top of the boots and leaves only the toes extending below. Whether the hem falls straight or flares outward matters as much as how much shoe is visible.

02直落黑裙遮住靴筒上缘，鞋头仍然可见，不需要硬拉到与上一套同长。A straight black skirt covers the top of the boots while leaving the toes visible. It does not need to be lifted to match the previous look.

试自己的长裙时，我会先站定，再走两步：有没有布料堆在鞋面上？迈步之后，裙摆和鞋头还分得清吗？直落的裙摆不用硬拉高；若鞋面被堆住，再调整裙长或换一双靴筒不同的鞋。这组Y's只提供几种具体对照，不是一条人人适用的显瘦规则。

With my own long skirt, I would stand still and then take a couple of steps. Does fabric collect on the shoe? Can I still distinguish the hem from the toe as I move? A straight-falling skirt need not be pulled higher. If fabric piles over the shoe, try a different skirt length or a different boot-shaft height. These Y’s looks offer specific comparisons, not a universal slimming rule.

09方法卡：对照散开与直落裙摆，站定再走两步，检查鞋面是否堆布。Method card: compare flared and straight hems. Stand still, then take a few steps and check whether fabric piles over the shoe.
